[The strike is NOT over yet, since the membership has yet to meet and discuss this deal today, but it's likely that it will be over by Monday. I haven't posted about the WGA strike in a little while, there hasn't been much news. You've probably heard the rumor that the strike is going to be over soon - there does seem to be encouraging progress. However, don't assume it's a done deal. Personally, I want to wait and see what the contract looks like before I say anything.

You've probably heard that the DGA (Directors Guild of America) and the AMPTP struck a deal last week. I haven't looked much into what the deal implies, though I know apparently it gives the studios the right to air something online without paying any residuals for 16 days, which is mind-boggling to me, but anyway.
